This blog is administered, on a day-to-day basis by James F. Larson, Deputy Director of the Fulbright Commission (formally known as the Korean-American Educational Commission) in Seoul Korea.  He served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Korea in 1971-72, then returned as a Fulbright Scholar at Yonsei University in 1985-86, and in 1996 joined the Fulbright Commission as Associate Director.  He has a Ph.D. in Communication from Stanford University and is the author of books on television coverage of international affairs, television in the Olympics, the internet and foreign policy and the telecommunications revolution in Korea.  For further detail, see www.jamesflarson.com

This blog will also include posts and analysis contributed by the Commission’s Executive Director, Mrs. Shim Jai Ok.  Mrs. Shim has been working with KAEC for more than 30 years.  She has extensive experience in international exchange, working first with the U.S. Peace Corps in Korea, then with the Fulbright Commission.   She is an authority on the administration of high stakes academic and professional tests in South Korea, having worked with ETS and other major testing organizations for many years.  Mrs. Shim holds an MBA degree from Yonsei University.
